My Bio
I am a watercolorist, inspired by working in plein air, studying the light and shadow of the world directly using pigment and water. I am an explorer, often chasing the golden hour as the sun sets, or even into the night with a flashlight. I am a pilgrim, art is a spiritual journey, I find peace and joy in painting, it's a prayer to convey what I see and feel and wish upon the world, pointing out what others are too busy to notice.

All work unless otherwise indicated is done mainly in watercolors, with either graphite or watercolor pencils used. I also like going in after the painting is done, and redrawing over it in watercolor pencil.

I use 3 limited palettes of 6 colors, one for staining colors, one for earthy granulating colors and one for opaque colors. Each palette includes 3 pairs of neutralizing compliments.

Staining:
Benzi Yellow PY154 and Dioxine Violet PV23
Pyrrole Red PR254 and Phthalo Green PG7
Pyrrole Orange PO73 and Phthalo Blue PB15:3

Granulating Warm Earths and Cool Waters:
Gold Ochre PY42 and Ultramarine Violet PV15
Perelene Maroon PR179 and Viridian PG18
Burnt Sienna PR101 and Ultramarine Blue PB29

Opaque ( which are used for spots of color, not really mixed like the above )
Cadmium Yellow PY35 ( and there isn't a purple )
Cadmium Red PR108 and Oxide of Chromium PG17
Cerulean Blue PB36 ( M Graham )
Titanium White PW6 ( very limited for froth or spots of white )

I also do some pieces using a set of QoR watercolors, which have PR177, PG7 and PB15:3, PO48, PY151 in an altoid tin. I am still evaluating these colors, but they are what I use when I am traveling.

Hello! Your works are very fascinating, eye-catching. The colors are very pleasant. I really love your style.
Thank you, mostly just trying to practice, improve and develop, your feedback is very motivating to keep working hard at it.
thank you for the fav.
you need more watchers!
I think I'll just focus on making the best art I can, it's probably not going to be popular here.

I see so much pinup art and fan art which seems to be what is most popular on this site, I don't exactly fit into doing something which lends itself to be popular to begin with.

I'm doing sunsets, waves, plein air work, and life drawing, relatively boring stuff, subjects often described as kitsch, not revolutionary, but these subjects are making me grow quickly as an artist.

Thanks for being one of the few who choose to watch what I am doing.
I do like your work because i am aware how hard to make what you do with the tools you us. This site seems to care more about theme more then how well it was made.

Like if i do something cute, people love it. That cool because i put in more work in them then when i do something that not cute. This took me about 2 weeks" This is for Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette" Just it not really well know. It could be theme of it because it to show people about this girl live that was cut short. It kind of makes me upset because it kind of feels like people like theme more then skill. Skill does help get more eyes, but it bugs me.
